Galtür, at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level, has no problem giving a snow guarantee. It is a unique winter sports resort, with ski pistes, cross country tracks, and up to 65 km of winter hiking paths. The Galtür Silvapark is remarkable and very family friendly. Its 6 sectors offer ideal conditions for skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing. The snow cover in the village from November through to April means you can go snow shoe walking, ice skating or tobogganing.

Anyone who likes winter sports of any type will be very much at home in the winter sports hotel "die post", with an extensive ski area offering fun for every ability. The ski bus stops right in front of the hotel door and it's only a short distance into the idyllic winter landscape on cross country skis or snow shoes.
